Bunches is looking to recruit a proactive warehouse apprentice. This is a role with great potential to move into a team leader and supervisory position but first of all you start your learning in the goods in, stock and quality control areas of the business.
Bunches is a family business that has been delivering happiness since 1989. Since then over 13 million flower bouquets have been designed, created, packed and posted from their site in Annesley. All staff work from the site in Annesley and are trained to high standards and become part of the 'Bunches family'. 10% of all profits are donated to charities who work with the poor because the owners believe that business should have a positive impact on the World. The team is friendly and looking forward to training and supporting an apprentice in learning the business from the ground up and welcoming them as the newest member of the Bunches family.
What You'll Do
- Receive and check incoming deliveries against orders - flowers, plants, hard goods and packaging - including manual handling to Bunches' health and safety standards
- Carry out goods-in quality control checks: freshness, cold-chain compliance, damage, and conformance against supplier specification
- Locate and store stock accurately within the warehouse's location system and keep location records up to date
- Support stock counts and inventory accuracy checks and help investigate discrepancies
- Record goods-in and quality data accurately in the relevant systems
- Flag non-conforming stock and escalate supplier quality issues via the agreed process
- Follow Bunches' hygiene, HACCP, dry goods storage and glass contamination policies
- Attend apprenticeship training and complete assignments and off-the-job learning hours
- Work under the day-to-day direction of the Team Leader or Shift Supervisor, while starting to take on informal peer-support and buddy duties
Training Outcome
Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, it is intended that you will progress onto a level 3 apprenticeship that will give you additional new skills and knowledge and support you as you step up into a team leader role. There is a three-stage pathway for your development into a supervisor.
