What you'll do
- Research, develop, and implement advanced deep learning and machine learning technologies to personalize user recommendations.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of defined problems, from initial data exploration and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and production deployment.
- Utilize modern ML frameworks to design, train, and optimize models within production settings.
- Contribute to experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing and offline evaluations, to iteratively improve model performance.
- Maintain and monitor production models, troubleshoot issues, and ensure their reliability at scale.
- Deliver high-quality solutions from concept to impact, balancing speed with thoroughness.
- Implement responsible AI practices, considering fairness, transparency, and safety throughout model development and deployment.
Requirements
- Approximately 3 years of practical experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with an ML framework like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Industry experience applying machine learning, particularly in recommender systems, ranking, or personalization.
- Solid understanding of MLOps and infrastructure concepts, including CI/CD for ML, feature stores, model serving, observability, and versioning.
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud-native environments such as Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
- Knowledge of experimentation methodologies like A/B testing and various model evaluation techniques.
- Ability to adapt approaches based on data and changing priorities while focusing on outcomes.
- Developing AI fluency, including the ability to independently apply ML techniques and emerging tools like LLMs responsibly to solve problems.

- Practical experience with recommendation systems, ranking, search, or personalization.
- Expertise in modern machine learning architectures such as transformers, graph neural networks, contrastive learning, and multi-modal embeddings.
