We're looking for a detail‑oriented, technically capable specialist to help us work smarter across our billing operations, pricing configuration, and fraud monitoring workflows. This isn't a role to build a new AI platform from scratch, it's about embedding yourself in our existing processes, understanding where the friction is, and using modern AI tooling to reduce manual, repetitive work so our team can focus on higher‑value activities.

You’ll split your time roughly 60/40 between hands‑on automation delivery and operational support, with the operational side serving as your window into the workflows you’ll be improving.

What You’ll Do
  • Automation & Tooling (primary focus)
    • Identify automation opportunities across billing operations, pricing configuration, and fraud monitoring, prioritising by time saved and risk reduction.
    • Build lightweight AI‑powered tools, scripts, and workflows using modern tooling (e.g., Claude, OpenAI APIs) to reduce manual, repetitive tasks.
    • Rapidly prototype solutions such as automated ticket triage, anomaly flagging, configuration validation, and workflow orchestration.
    • Iterate and improve automation based on real‑world usage and team feedback.
    • Document automation logic and processes clearly to ensure auditability and smooth handover.
  • Operational Support
    • Provide day‑to‑day support across billing configuration tasks (e.g., pricing setup, product catalogue updates, promotions) with high attention to accuracy.
    • Help triage and resolve billing‑related issues: customer, internal, and partner‑facing, while building automated solutions to reduce ticket volumes over time.
    • Support fraud monitoring workflows by assisting with case handling and flagging, with a focus on understanding processes well enough to automate them.
    • Work closely with Billing Engineering, Payments, Compliance, and Fraud teams to align on requirements and validate outputs.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical operations, workflow automation, with demonstrable hands‑on delivery, particularly with LLM integrations, scripting, or operational tooling.
  • Comfortable using AI APIs (e.g., Claude, OpenAI) to build practical, lightweight automation solutions, not just theoretical knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to look at a messy manual process and see a path to automating it.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Good communicator with the ability to work across both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Self‑directed and comfortable operating in an agile environment with evolving priorities.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to billing systems, subscription models or payments.
  • Experience working in or alongside ops teams, not just engineering.
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira and internal workflow tooling.
Benefits & Perks
  • Annual personal learning & development budget
  • Private Medical Insurance (PMI)
  • Private Dental Insurance
  • Babylon Health app
  • Mental health support
  • Enhanced parental leave, including a highly competitive maternity package
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Subsidised gym membership
  • 'Double matched' pension contributions up to 6%
  • Premium App Access
Final Compensation

Will be determined based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, skill set, and other job‑related considerations.
