Bumble is looking for a Manager, Financial Accounting to play a pivotal role in a dynamic team. You will job own certain P&L cost lines plus oversee the full cycle accounting for various Global entities. The position will take responsibility for managing a small team to ensure monthly close tasks and procedures are performed timely. Additional responsibilities include review of variance analysis and ensuring month-end close procedures are SOX compliant.
You will work across the finance organisation as well as other key stakeholders such as Payroll, FP&A, Legal and other business partners. You will report to our International Controller with a dotted line to the UK Senior Manager, Financial Accounting.
What you’ll do
- Manage month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and overseeing the work of your team
- Focus on global payroll costs
- Coordinate with global teams, service providers, and vendors to support company goals
- Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with the International Controller and/or Senior Manager of Financial Accounting to plan and execute these enhancements
- Ensure that all SOX controls assigned to our team are diligently followed and accurately documented
- Mentor and coach team members
- Liaise with international service providers to meet local filing deadlines
- Contribute to special projects and ensure local statutory compliance
- Manage 1 direct report
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Possess an ACA (or equivalent) designation
- 7+ years of accounting experience; 2+ years of manager experience; public accounting experience required; Big 4 and/or public/private mix preferred
- You are team oriented, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and are keen to learn
- You have a high level of accuracy/attention to detail
- Ability to analyse and aggregate large amounts of sensitive data in Excel
- You are a self-starter who is comfortable working at pace and who takes a proactive approach
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You can manage workload and relationships effectively
- You have a strong working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX
- You’re an experienced manager and are proficient in team coaching and work review
- Experience in NetSuite is a plus
