- Salary: £26,683 - £28,985 BA8 (SCP 17 - 22) per annum actual salary
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract Type: Fixed Term (1 Year Contract until 31 August 2027)
- Working Pattern: 37 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (Term-Time)
Key Responsibilities
As a Behaviour Support Officer at The Bulwell Academy, you will:
- Provide compassionate and proactive support to students' wellbeing.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Collaborate with staff and external agencies to address students' diverse needs.
Ideal Candidate / Requirements
- The ability to positively influence and persuade students towards the school's vision, values and ethos, while modelling professional behaviour.
- Student-focused approach, recognizing the impact of educational achievement and managing behaviour in line with academy policies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, use initiative, follow instructions, remain calm under pressure, and maintain a 'can do' and 'will do' attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Successful recent experience working with young people.
About the Team
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our new Therapeutic Reintegration Centre, 'The Bridge'. The centre supports some of the most vulnerable students with a focus on academia and therapeutic support, using current research in Trauma Informed and Relational Practice to reintegrate students back into mainstream lessons.
