It’s not just about delivering stock – it’s about ensuring the depot runs like clockwork. As a Load Planner at Bulmers, you will be managing deliveries for hundreds of customers across the region, and overseeing a sizeable fleet of drivers. About the role:
- Assign work to drivers and mates, ensuring efficient use of vehicles and manpower, and monitor performance to make necessary adjustments.
- Plan daily transport using Paragon, optimising routes and minimising costs while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Ensure all drivers and mates follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and manage their induction, training, and retraining as needed.
- Maintain compliance with vehicle and driver legislation, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Produce transport statistics and maintain accurate records for internal and external use.
- Assist with warehouse tasks, including processing orders, producing pick lists, dispatch notes, and load sheets.
About You:
Being organised is just the beginning in this role. You will need to be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of taking initiative. Previous experience in Distribution, ideally within a Transport Office, is preferred. You will be familiar with stock control, key warehouse systems, and regulations like EU Drivers’ Hours. Experience with software such as Optrak is a plus however, what truly sets you apart are your people skills, your ability to communicate effectively, be computer literate, multi-skill and ensure everything runs smoothly.
