As the successful Supervisor you will have a passion to deliver exceptional customer service every time and be able to build rapport with our customers and our team to continue the success of our pub. You will be passionate about training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers and also be a responsible key holder to be able to lead shifts safely and effectively. Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a busy bar or hospitality environment — ideally some supervisory or team‑lead experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable interacting with guests and team members alike.
- Good knowledge of beverages (alcoholic & non‑alcoholic), cocktail preparation, service presentation and bar equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and possibly holidays or special events.
- Familiarity with licensing regulations, health & safety and cash handling.
- Organised, proactive, able to adapt to fast‑paced and changing situations.
Supervisor Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate bar staff to provide consistent, high quality service.
- Supervise opening, running and closing of shifts: ensuring bar areas are clean, well‑stocked, and ready for service.
- Monitor and manage stock, including drink inventory, ordering and storage, to maintain cost control and minimise wastage.
- Ensure adherence to licensing laws, health & safety and food hygiene standards.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints or issues professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Coordinate with other departments (kitchen, floor staff, events) to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist management in meeting sales targets, analysing performance metrics and recommending improvements.
