Job Description
The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a Linked In office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The Deal Desk team are the strategic advisors to Linked In’s Field Sales team, managing the Order to Cash (O2C) and facilitating the complex deal structures and requests that our clients demand.
This role project manages strategic deals and agreements in Linked In’s Global Client Program segment while ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.
We create efficiencies, increase profitability, and enforce stronger controls.
Lead Deal Desk Strategists will understand the ins and outs of our policies, processes, and systems.
They will advise, coach and partner closely daily with sales partners to efficiently work within Linked In Sales process and policies.
You will help drive Linked In’s growth and success by partnering with Linked In Sales teams and other cross-functional partners.
You will have a clear and thorough understanding of the end-to-end Linked In ecosystem; you will be a strong leader and a prolific relationship builder.
Responsibilities
- Account Management
- Coordinates discussions among sales representatives to reach agreement on contract terms and solve contracting scenarios.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of deals, sales pods, and accounts, and their progress.
- Identifies initiatives to drive meaningful revenue upsides and removes blockers within their sales pods to ensure deals close, serving as a resource for team members.
- Lead end-to-end deal management, partnering cross-functionally (Sales, Finance, Legal, Pricing) to structure, approve, and execute deals in line with policy, risk, and revenue goals.
- Growth Initiatives
- Seeks opportunities to leverage data to influence deal growth, sharing growth opportunities with management.
- Leverages tools and playbooks to advise sales representatives and identify upsell, cross-sell, and packaging opportunities within individual deals.
- Partners with Sales Managers and Directors to identify trends and track market performance and implement growth initiatives, ensuring performance is monitored and optimized.
- Identifies areas of weakness and recommends solutions.
- Process Improvement
- Identifies opportunities to improve team and process performance, aiming to scale improvements regionally.
- Identify, prioritize, and lead strategic process and automation initiatives (including AI-enabled solutions) that drive scalability, efficiency, and global consistency.
- Project Management
- Independently sets and leads project and operational workplans globally, assisting team members in task prioritization.
- Creates collateral and/or process plans and communicates updates, timelines, and plans to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Independently manages relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Request Management
- Act as a subject matter expert for team members analyzing and leveraging data to provide solutions for quoting, pricing strategies, deal flow, commercial models, and order processing for the sales organization and provides guidance on business terms and conditions using a customer‑centric approach.
- Manages case queue and guides sales representation on deal structures including high‑impact transactions.
Begins to influence stakeholder priorities, deadlines, and timelines, taking steps to set expectations and communicate changes to deadlines, when necessary.
Creates and delivers materials (e. g., spreadsheets) for processes and/or projects.
- Performs root cause analyses and gathers data to determine best steps for resolving complex issues.
Owns communication between Sales and cross‑functional partners and serves as a resource to team members for escalations and recommend solutions to issues, staying up to date on problems.
- Reviews deals to ensure accuracy and compliance with Linked In policies and guidelines and recommends revisions when necessary.
Follows up on issues to ensure deals are closed and brings requests to total resolution.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in Deal Desk/Deal Management/Pricing/Sales Operations/Support/Consulting
- Experience processing a high volume of transactions
- 2+ years' experience with Google and Microsoft Office products
- Fluency in English and Portuguese
- Preferred Qualifications

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
