UK & Europe Recruitment Specialist @ BULL IT SERVICES
Role Summary/Purpose: Technical Network lead role, responsible for supporting the Network Infrastructure and associated DC services. This includes operational and administrative tasks under an ITIL framework. This role is to lead a NOC team and deliver Network Service Requests, Incident resolution, and Change execution for the Data Centre’s network environments. This role requires a strong architect level knowledge of network and network security.
Responsibilities
- Lead a NOC team and deliver Network Service Requests, Incident resolution, and Change execution for the Data Centre’s network environments.
- Perform operational and administrative tasks under an ITIL framework.
- Provide on-call operational support (P1), subject to scheduling.
- Support network environments across two UK Data Centres and six manufacturing sites in the south of England.
- Assist in-house ticket analysis, workgroup management, and escalations; support service utilities underpinning regional IT operations (Monitoring & Alerting products).
- Develop and follow change control processes to ensure compliance and protect service; follow asset management processes to improve CMDB accuracy.
- Document and control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT processes.
- Diagnose and resolve technical operational incidents and requests; emphasis on rapid, accurate analysis and resolution.
- Promote an “Automation First” mindset and deliver best-fit automation use cases.
- Collaborate with Linux, Windows, and Database teams and support cyber security, applications, and infrastructure groups in the region.
Qualifications/Requirements
- UKSV SC Clearance.
- Strong network data and security knowledge; CCIE-level networking knowledge.
- Experience configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience in NoC / incident handling and supporting network technologies (routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, proxies) across multiple data centres; familiarity with OEMs such as Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, and F5.
- Experience with alerting and monitoring tools (e.g., Cisco Catalyst Centre, PRTG, Nagios).
- Experience with packet analysis and low-level troubleshooting.
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with asset management and CMDB processes.
- Willingness to operate in a role requiring on-call support and cross-team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to document procedures and support regional IT operations.
Desired Characteristics
- Technical understanding of data centre architecture, infrastructure, and service management.
- Experience with enterprise network design/architecture, including HLD/LLD, and presenting solutions to approval boards.
