Verification Validation Engineer in Workington

Overview

We are looking for a Validation & Verification (V&V) Engineer with 2–8 years of experience in automotive series testing and a strong background in In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. The candidate will execute validation activities, analyze test results, and ensure compliance with OEM standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and integration testing for IVI systems in series production vehicles.
• Develop and execute test cases based on system requirements.
• Conduct regression testing and support issue resolution with OEM teams.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and assist in root cause analysis.
• Ensure adherence to automotive standards and OEM-specific validation processes.
• Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• 2–8 years of experience in automotive validation and verification.
• Hands-on experience with IVI systems and related technologies.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Proficiency in test tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and infotainment test benches.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with series production support for infotainment systems.
• Knowledge of multimedia standards and connectivity protocols.
• Exposure to requirements management tools and test automation scripting.
