Role Overview
We’re hiring a Director of Technology to lead the strategic development and hands‑on execution of our technology roadmap. You’ll manage and grow an in‑house engineering team, shape our infrastructure, and guide the implementation of AI and data intelligence across the business. You’ll also be a key part of our senior leadership team, helping steer the company’s wider digital and commercial direction. This role is ideal for a hands‑on senior tech leader who can write clean Python, lead critical infrastructure, and influence board‑level decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the company‑wide technology roadmap
- Lead and mentor the technology and software development team
- Oversee our self‑hosted infrastructure and ensure performance, resilience, and security
- Guide the development of scalable, secure, and insight‑driven platforms
- Embed AI tools into core functions (pricing, fulfilment, fraud, marketing)
- Translate operational and commercial goals into robust technical solutions
- Collaborate with leadership to influence innovation, investment, and digital strategy
- Represent technology at board level and with external partners where appropriate
