DESCRIPTION
As our Senior Technical Artist at BULKHEAD, you will have proficient knowledge with the engine. You will be working closely with others within your team to offer solutions to art problems and be able to prototype them.
You will have the opportunity to use your creativity and technical skills to contribute to the creation of our game, creating a unique game experience and communicating the vision through the team.
You will work closely with the Art Team to build solutions, tools and shaders, and interface with other departments and the art direction team to help realise the development needs. You will offer creative solutions from end to end, from early design work, through to prototype and final implementation.
You will be excellent in cross discipline collaboration and use your expertise to mentor and develop the skills of Junior members on a day-to-day basis. You will be comfortable in explaining your workload and have the ability to accept candid feedback from your Lead and the Art Director.
This is an in-studio role and this is non-negotiable however; we can offer bespoke relocation packages.

// RESPONSIBILITIES
– Capable of designing, implementing and maintaining deep procedural systems, while helping to create technical solutions
– Understanding of the technical constraints of the engine, project, and the needs of the Art Team
– Pro-actively work alongside other developers and designers to share and gather essential information remaining consistent within your work
– Will assist in optimising the game in order to meet the technical budgets set, always remaining artistic while keeping performance in mind
– Mentor more Junior members of the team, aiming to upskill and skill share throughout the team.
// REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
– Experience and knowledge of UE4/UE5 and developing solutions in blueprints
– Competent with node based procedural systems such as PCG or Houdini, helping to streamline the art pipeline
– The ability to work independently as well as working alongside a small handful of other Tech Artists
– Experience and passion for creating solutions for Art Teams and prototyping them
– Experience in verbal and written communication skills

– Previous experience in Technical Art roles.
– Experience in creating levels for multiplayer first-person shooters.
– Experience with World machine is desired
