At BULKHEAD, our Producers are at the heart of delivery. As a Producer, you’ll drive development forward by supporting team autonomy, encouraging accountability, and removing blockers to keep delivery on track. You’ll guide your team toward milestone goals while maintaining a positive, focused environment. You’ll own production schedules, monitor team health, and maintain clarity across your roadmap. Working closely with Discipline Leads and other Producers, you’ll align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure high-quality work is delivered on time. All candidates must be based in and have the right to work in the UK. At this time we are unable to offer any visa sponsorship. This role is based at our studio in Derby full time.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Production & Delivery
- Drive sprint planning and milestone delivery within your team
- Maintain and evolve team roadmaps, aligning short- and long-term planning with project goals
- Identify cross-team dependencies and mitigate scheduling risks
- Proactively raise and manage risks, ensuring early visibility and effective resolution
- Track progress, blockers, and carryover to maintain delivery momentum
- Tools & Reporting
- Manage complex Jira workflows and multi-dependency tickets with clarity and consistency
- Build and maintain JQL queries to support sprint tracking, backlog analysis, and reporting
- Create and maintain structured Excel tools to support planning, scope breakdowns, and data analysis
- Explore simple automations (including VBA where appropriate) to reduce manual overhead
- Build clear, readable Grafana dashboards to visualise team metrics and support data-driven decisions
- Create and maintain Miro boards for roadmapping, meetings, and cross-discipline collaboration
- Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate clearly and consistently across multiple teams and disciplines
- Facilitate effective meetings with clear actions and follow-ups
- Proactively organise check-ins and discussions to maintain alignment and momentum
- Partner closely with Leads and other Producers to ensure clarity across the wider production landscape
What We need from you:
- 2+ years’ experience driving projects forward (games industry experience preferred)
- Experience working within multi-discipline development teams
- Strong understanding of game development processes
- Proficiency with Jira, JQL, Excel, and Grafana
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5)
- Experience working across different project management methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- A genuine passion for games
