DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Programmer to join the team working on WARDOGS, our Multiplayer All Out Warfare Shooter.

You will have excellent knowledge with UE4/UE5. You will be working on a AAA project with a large-scale team and will be working closely with other Programmers, Designers, and Artists to bring the world alive. You will be responsible for implementing exciting vehicle features, helping to balance what makes them fun, whilst maintaining a close eye on performance considerations.

// RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Implement new vehicles and vehicle systems.
  2. Iterate on existing vehicle features and mechanics.
  3. Solve problems encountered along the way.
  4. Write extensible, stable, efficient code.
  5. Strive for constant self-improvement.
  6. Mentor Junior members of the team and help others learn.
  7. Be considerate with planning, documentation, and communication.
  8. Take ownership and act as a driving force for your features.

// REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Experience working with physics systems and established Physics engines like PhysX / Chaos.
  2. Experience working alongside Gameplay teams to expose parameters and control systems for their needs.
  3. Understanding of what makes a vehicle feel responsive and fun.
  4. Strong physics/maths understanding.
  5. Strong multi-threaded programming skills.
  6. Knowledge of real-time rigid, multi-body simulation and Newtonian mechanics.
  7. Willingness to research how certain vehicles operate and work on a physics level.
  8. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant experience.
  9. At least 3 years of industry experience.
  10. Worked on at least one title using Unreal Engine 4/5.
  11. Strong grasp of C++, software design, programming, and debugging.
  12. Strong grasp of 3D maths for games.
  13. Ability to communicate with a multidisciplinary team.
  14. A strong desire to overcome difficult hurdles.
  15. A methodical mind and the ability to think outside the box.
  16. Strong problem-solving skills.
  17. Clear communication and the ability to articulate systems and ideas effectively.

  1. Experience developing games for console platforms.
  2. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant experience.
  3. Experience programming multiplayer games in Unreal Engine 4/5.
