We are looking for a Junior Engineer with a passion for gameplay engineering and Unreal Engine. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their skills in C++ programming, multiplayer networking, and gameplay mechanics while working on exciting multiplayer projects. You’ll collaborate with designers, artists, and senior engineers to create immersive, responsive gameplay experiences and gain hands-on experience in AAA game development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining gameplay systems in C++ and Unreal Engine.
  • Debug and optimise code to ensure smooth gameplay performance.
  • Work with the team to implement and refine multiplayer mechanics.
  • Collaborate with designers and artists to bring game features to life.
  • Learn best practices from senior engineers and contribute to code reviews.

The Game:

You'll be working on Wardogs, an all-out-warfare multiplayer first person shooter. That means infantry combat, tank warfare, jet dog fighting, and artillery barrages. We play test the game twice a week, so you'll have lots of time to get stuck in and really be a part of the game you're creating.
