  • As the Procurement Manager (Mat. Cover) at

Bulk ™, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our purchasing strategy and driving efficiency across the business.

You’ll create robust procurement plans for ingredients, packaging, and third-party products, creating the strategy to deliver the business goals and ensuring seamless supply.

From leading tender processes and negotiating key supplier deals to partnering on new product launches and driving cost-saving initiatives, you’ll be at the heart of a supply chain in our scaling business.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Create strategy and framework for our approach to purchasing across all categories.

Particularly devising and delivering short and medium-term procurement plans for ingredients (RMs).

  • Ensure implementation of procurement strategies and guidelines for areas such as Process & Excellence, Sourcing, Risk Management, Benchmarking, Supplier Management, Safety, Sustainability & Profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to positively influence procurement decisions.
  • Lead and manage quarterly and annual tender processes in partnership with Supply Planning team to support stock availability and manufacturing efficiency/output.
  • Negotiate MOQs and cost prices to balance working capital and margin across all of our locations as agreed with our Supply Chain Director.
  • Partner with the Product team to find the appropriate supplier(s) for each component in our product range including new product/category launches.
  • Develop a close working relationship with our Finance team and embed efficient processes.
  • Develop supplier relationships in partnership with the Supply Planning team.
  • Accountability for full-price gross margins by delivering on cost-price targets.
  • Adhoc tasks as directed by our Supply Chain Director or Executive team.
  • Management of escalated supplier issues.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Experience in the food/ingredients/commodities sector (or similar), including ingredient sourcing and supplier onboarding.
  • Insight into the commodity market/FMCG.
  • Beneficial, if you'll have previous line-management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, able to negotiate confidently with suppliers and work with all levels of management and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful negotiations.
  • Strong numerical skills, data-driven & analytical.
  • A proactive self-starter with a positive mindset.
  • Experience in managing purchasing strategies and running tender processes.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities across a range of stakeholders.
  • A team player, who is equally as happy to lead and to jump into the detail.
