We are shaking up the sports nutrition industry through disruptive marketing campaigns that help people think differently about our brand – and we want you to be a part of it!
We want passionate risk-takers . We want people that like to challenge our thinking . We want people that live and breathe digital and have an affinity to the world of nutrition, health, fitness, and sports.
IN A NUTSHELL
Reporting to the Head of Marketing Insights, the Data Projects Lead (FTC) will take senior responsibility for the data architecture that underpins the entire marketing and commercial function.
This is a hands‑on, senior role for someone who is comfortable getting into the technical details.
You will lead a step-change in how our data is modelled, connected and maintained - ensuring our pipelines and platform integrations are robust, efficient and built to scale as our digital and commercial technology landscape evolves.
As the team responsible for all data within the marketing and commercial function, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the quality, continuity, and availability of insights during a period of change.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Own and deliver strategic data model improvement projects across Bulk's marketing and commercial analytics stack, enhancing efficiency, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Design, re-architect and maintain ETL/ELT processes in DBT to clean, model and transform data for analytics and activation.
- Lead the design, mapping and migration of data models and pipelines as our underlying platforms and data sources change and evolve, protecting data integrity and minimising disruption to reporting and activation.
- Own the ingestion, validation and integration of marketing performance, transactional and product data into Big Query from a range of source systems and platforms.
- Work hands‑on and in close partnership with external partners and the digital product team to scope, specify and implement data flows, event tracking and platform connections.
- Build and maintain Tableau dashboards ensuring reporting continuity.
- Partner with the E-commerce and merchandising teams to analyse on‑site customer journeys and safeguard tracking and measurement as the digital estate develops.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- 4+ years' experience in an analytics, BI or data engineering role, including time at a senior or managerial level, ideally within e Commerce, marketing or another consumer‑facing environment.
- Advanced SQL skills with deep, hands‑on experience working with Big Query or another cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake or Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Strong experience building, optimising and maintaining scalable data models using DBT (or an equivalent transformation framework), alongside a solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data governance best practice.
- Experience designing and evolving data architecture, integrating multiple data sources into a central warehouse, and ensuring data is reliable, well‑structured and fit for business reporting and analysis.
- A strong understanding of how e Commerce and digital platforms generate, structure and expose data, with experience working closely with engineering, product and digital teams to deliver robust data solutions.
- Experience using Tableau (or another BI visualisation tool such as Power BI) to enable self‑service reporting and business insight.
- Comfortable managing external agencies or technical partners and collaborating across cross‑functional teams to deliver data initiatives.
- Able to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non‑technical stakeholders, particularly marketing and commercial teams.
- A proactive, organised self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and enjoys solving complex problems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence decisions and bring people together around a shared goal.
- Calm and methodical when balancing multiple priorities, bringing clarity and structure in environments where requirements evolve.
- Consumer‑focused, with a genuine interest in using data to better understand customers and drive commercial decision‑making.
