In a Nutshell

Reporting into the UK Manufacturing and Global Development Manager, with Health and Safety at the forefront of everything you do, you will be responsible for the continuity of the Manufacturing operation through the reliability of all assets. You will be expected to be proactive in your approach to maintenance, building a bottom‑up PPM programme and ensuring the relevant spares inventory are available. This is an opportunity for an ambitious, driven and organised individual. You’ll gain the opportunity to implement and drive change, whilst ‘putting your stamp’ on Bulk Engineering and creating something that is your own.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Implementing an exemplary PPM programme for the Bulk manufacturing maintenance process.
  • Upkeep of a CMMS to track and monitor the efficiency of our existing systems and processes, whilst considering where we can make improvements and implement them.
  • Involvement in multiple projects across the site.
  • Controlling spare parts inventory when required by the business.
  • Managing and coordinating with external contractors on specific projects.
  • Involvement in project management for the implementation of new processes and machinery.
  • Conscious management of the Engineering budget to ensure we remain within our forecast.
  • Suggesting process improvements when needed in times of high demand.
  • Effective communication throughout the team when handling new or existing projects.
  • Conducting root cause analysis investigations and providing suggestions on how to mitigate risks.
  • Understanding equipment reliability regulations and actioning reasonable causes for concern as and when needed throughout the site.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Previous experience working in the FMCG industry or a similar business handling manufacturing machinery.
  • Knowledge of QRmaint or CMMS programmes.
  • A bachelor’s degree (BEng or MEng) in Mechanical Engineering would be desirable.
  • Significant experience handling manufacturing machinery for a similar business.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously when needed.
  • Highly organised and capable of delegating instructions effectively.
  • Drive to push Bulk to becoming an industry leader in the manufacturing area.
  • An honest and transparent individual with strong communication skills.
  • A genuine team player, who likes to focus on their own development along with their teams.
