Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30

About Us

Bulk Automation specialises in the supply of process and packaging machinery, including robotic automation systems, to a wide range of industries across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join our expanding team.

While this role is based at our Llanidloes office, regular travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland will be required. Flexibility and adaptability are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend customer sites to perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on Bulk Automation equipment (e.g. conveyors, robots)
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns, performing fault diagnosis and repair of packaging machinery
  • Complete accurate service reports, including details of work carried out, parts used, and recommendations
  • Follow all health & safety guidelines (Bulk Automation and client-specific) during service work
  • Create or contribute to Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work as needed

Desired Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Experience with ABB or Fanuc robotics is desirable (training can be provided)
  • Strong electrical skills: 3-phase power, control systems; PLC knowledge is a bonus
  • Mechanical experience with pneumatics, motors, bearings, conveyors
  • Understanding of packaging machinery (form-fill-seal, weighing systems) is beneficial, but training will be given
  • Full UK driving license
