An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Engineer to join an innovative, software provider. Working within a highly collaborative and agile environment, you will play a pivotal role in optimising cloud-native infrastructure, driving technical upgrades and ensuring the absolute stability and security of large-scale production environments.
About the Client

Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Optimisation: Drive ongoing upgrades and improvements across infrastructure and processes, championing the adoption of the latest cloud-native technologies.
- Environment Management: Take ownership of the security, stability, and uptime of production, staging, and development environments.
- Monitoring & Resolution: Proactively monitor environments, swiftly reacting to alerts and resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Asset Maintenance: Maintain network, server, and storage assets within data centre environments (AWS VPC, EC2, networking) across a large-scale, multi-region infrastructure.
- Collaborative Engineering: Work closely within a supportive systems team, engaging in pair programming, whiteboarding, architecture design, and peer reviews.
Required Skills and Experience
- AWS Expertise: 3-4 years of experience facilitating secure, high-availability production workloads at scale across multiple environments.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience utilising Terraform and Ansible (or closely aligned technologies).
- Systems Administration: Strong background in general systems administration within multi-layer, Linux-based application stacks.
- Scripting Skills: Demonstrated experience scripting for production environments using Bash and/or Python.
- Team Collaboration: Exceptional self-organisation and communication skills, with a proven track record of proactively solving problems alongside both technical and non-technical colleagues.
