About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to join a 1-year digital defence project starting this August. Operating at a senior contractor level (SFIA 4/5 equivalent), you will apply UK defence safety management frameworks across complex digital technical work packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply MAA regulations and DE&S safety protocols to evaluate hazards, manage risk registers, and develop safety cases.
  • Deliver technical safety work packages in digital engineering environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary defence teams and key project stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

  • Domain Background: Proven engineering background in Air and/or Munitions / Land domains (Navy-focused profiles are not suitable for this role).
  • Regulatory Expertise: Working knowledge of MAA regulatory frameworks and DE&S safety management procedures.
  • Seniority Equivalent: SFIA Level 4/5 capability (comparable to Civil Service C2/C1 or Military Flight Lieutenant / Squadron Leader ranks).
  • Clearance: Active UK SC Clearance.
