Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Milan, working directly on the client side. This is a key position responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes across the full project lifecycle, ensuring all installation and commissioning activities are delivered to the highest standards of compliance, safety, and quality.
The successful candidate will ideally come from an M&E / building services background with previous experience on large-scale mission critical, data centre, pharmaceutical, or complex infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all QA/QC activities across the project
- Develop, implement, and maintain project quality management systems and procedures
- Review and monitor ITPs, QA documentation, inspection records, and handover documentation
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and quality reviews with contractors and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with client standards, project specifications, and industry regulations
- Work closely with construction, commissioning, and project management teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout delivery
- Identify non-conformances and drive corrective actions to completion
- Support project reporting, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee document control and quality-related reporting processes
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical quality guidance where required
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a QA Manager or Senior QA/QC professional on large-scale construction projects
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and building services installations
- Previous data centre or mission critical project experience is highly desirable
- Experience working in client-side or principal contractor environments
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, and commissioning procedures
- Familiarity with ISO standards and project quality management systems
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across fast-paced construction environments
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Fluent English required; Italian language skills beneficial but not essential

- Mechanical or Electrical building services background
