Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Client-Side Project Director / Project Lead to oversee the delivery of a large-scale 80MW, two-phase data centre project in Stavanger, Norway. This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the project lifecycle from construction through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the client-side lead, representing the owner’s interests across all project phases
- Oversee the successful delivery of a hyperscale data centre project (80MW, 2-phase build)
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Ensure project delivery aligns with programme, budget, and quality expectations
- Drive construction progress, commissioning strategy, and handover processes
- Provide strong leadership across electrical and MEP systems delivery
- Manage risk, reporting, and governance structures at senior level
- Interface with senior stakeholders, providing clear and consistent updates
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Project Director / Project Lead role on data centre projects (essential)
- Strong background in electrical systems (preferred), with openness to MEP-focused candidates
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale (50MW+) mission-critical projects
- Experience working client-side or representing client interests
- Strong understanding of data centre construction, commissioning, and operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-value project environment
