Role Overview

You will be responsible for the day-to-day resourcing and scheduling of both new and ongoing Traffic Management works, maintaining close communication with operatives and client representatives. Supporting the Management Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of all daily Traffic Management operations. Your focus will be on facilitating the smooth and timely progression of works through to safe and compliant completion. This role involves regular collaboration with clients, local council representatives, supervisors, managers, colleagues, suppliers, operatives, and sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily and long-term work planning for the depot
  • Conduct compliance checks on Traffic Management Operatives (TMOs), including RAMS, on/off-hire sheets, and damage reports using tablets
  • Oversee vehicle and equipment checks, report and record damages
  • Carry out site audits to ensure operational standards
  • Participate in out-of-hours (OOH) / on-call rota
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages promptly
  • Liaise with clients for pre-siting and post-site meetings
  • Ensure all works comply with LANTRA, HSE, and client-specific legislation
  • Report all incidents, accidents, and near‑miss events
  • Attend client and supplier meetings as required
  • Support and develop the skills of Traffic Management Operatives
  • Act as an escalation point for clients, operatives, and sub-contractors
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards and procedures

Skills and Qualifications required

  • Holder of a Full UK Drivers licence with no more than 6 points
  • Must hold M1/2 or M5 qualification minimum and experience (+ M6/7 preferred)
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Sound judgement and problem‑solving skills
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • Good organisation skills
