Up-and-Coming Independent SME | Manchester | North West & Scotland Most firms talk about growth. This one is quietly building a Manchester team from the ground up, and they need someone to help shape it. You’ll be the face of the project to clients and stakeholders, working across a varied mix of schemes rather than being stuck on one site for years. Picture yourself leading major refurbishment schemes across the North West and Scotland. Mostly residential and mixed-use commercial, high-profile and complex, and you’re trusted to run them from day one. You’re the Employer’s Agent and Contract Administrator, managing JCT Design & Build contracts end to end, and you’re the one guiding projects through Gateway 2 under the Building Safety Regime. If you’ve taken schemes through Gateway 2 or been close to the process, that’s exactly the background we want to see. This is a rare chance to step up to Associate Director at a fast-moving SME. You won’t be waiting for a title to earn your say. You’ll have one, and a clear route into leading the Manchester Project Management function as it grows. If you’re used to the structure of a larger consultancy, you’ll notice the difference quickly. Decisions are made close to the work, and you’ll see the impact of your input at a much faster rate. Business development and new fees are a welcome bonus, but the priority is delivery. You’ll be the trusted pair of hands the Managing Director relies on as the business scales, bringing your experience of cost reporting, programme management and risk registers, and shaping how the team runs them. This suits someone who wants to build something, not just run a portfolio. Progression is based on what you deliver, with clear milestones on the way to Associate Director and beyond. We’re looking for an experienced Senior PM with several years of proven delivery behind them. Ideally you’ll have come from a consultancy or client-side background, though strong Building Surveyors looking to move into a more focused project management role are very welcome to apply. If you’re a confident Senior PM with Employer’s Agent and Contract Administration experience, comfortable with BSR, and keen to take ownership of a growing team, this could be for you.
