Buildtonic is a growing and ambitious main contractor delivering high-end new build and heritage projects. We are a young, driven team that takes pride in quality, efficiency, and professionalism on every project we deliver.

We are looking for an ambitious Trainee Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone finishing college or recently graduated who has a genuine interest in construction and wants to build a long-term career in project management. This is not an entirely desk-based role. You will gain real experience across high-end residential and heritage projects, often working directly from site and learning from experienced professionals.

You will be trained to become a modern, highly efficient project manager — combining practical site knowledge with structured systems, digital tools, and AI-driven workflows.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Work within a young, ambitious and growing team
  • Exposure to high-end new build and heritage restoration projects
  • Close mentorship from directors and senior team members
  • Structured training in both traditional and modern project management
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools and digital systems
  • Recognised industry certifications and ongoing professional development

This role is designed to fast-track someone who is serious about building a career and wants to operate at a higher level than the industry standard.

Training & Development

Buildtonic is registered with the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) and is committed to developing the next generation of construction professionals. The successful candidate will receive structured training including:

  • CSCS certification
  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
  • Ongoing CITB-accredited training courses
  • Health & Safety training
  • Formal Project Management development
  • Training in AI tools and modern construction technology
  • Direct mentorship from experienced project managers and directors

This is not just a job — it is the start of a structured career pathway into professional project management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with day-to-day project coordination
  • Supporting project delivery on-site
  • Conducting site visits and assisting in client meetings
  • Welcoming and attending to clients on site
  • Organising and managing deliveries (including physically assisting when required)
  • Supporting site setup and daily site operations
  • Using AI tools and modern software to improve workflow and reporting
  • Maintaining high quality standards across projects

This role requires someone willing to muck in with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Finishing college or recently graduated
  • Strong interest in construction, property, or project management
  • Highly motivated and ambitious
  • Organised and proactive
  • Confident communicating with clients and trades
  • Comfortable using technology and eager to learn AI and modern systems
  • Willing to assist with site setup and hands-on tasks
  • Keen to grow within a fast-moving company
  • Full UK driving licence (required)
  • A background in construction is not essential. We welcome applicants from a wide range of fields — including business, engineering, technology, advertising, or other disciplines — provided you have the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Gain

  • Direct mentorship from experienced professionals
  • Recognised industry training and certifications
  • Formal Project Management and AI training
  • Real responsibility from an early stage
  • Exposure to premium projects
  • Clear long-term career progression
