- Up to date 18th Edition Qualification (Amendment 3:2024)
- C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing – desirable but not essential
- Experience working within a similar environment - commercial, industrial and domestic experience
- Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or SMSTS
- Strong organisational, leadership and people management skills
- Confident with a range of IT systems and software
- Self‑motivated, proactive and a positive attitude

- A full current UK driving licence and have had at least 6 months driving experience since passing your test

Reporting to a Building Services Manager, the Building Services Engineer (Electrician) will support the Princeenergy Department with their ongoing works and variety of projects of an electrical commercial and domestic nature within the construction and refurbishment industry. Due to the nature of our varied projects, works can be nationwide and require flexible working hours. Project sizes will vary from large projects working within a team to smaller projects with pairs or solo working. These projects will include public sector, health sector, educational sector, retail, social housing, government buildings, prisons, police stations, care homes, undertaking repairs, breakdowns and installation works.
The primary role of this engineer will be ensuring that the allocated projects are run efficiently and profitably ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety legislation and contracts conditions. The most critical conditions being that all work is completed to a high standard, in a safe working manner, within programme and to the total satisfaction of our client.
Responsibilities:- All aspects associated with a qualified NVQ Level 3 electrician with proven experience of working within a similar environment.
- Professional development and supervising of site personnel including trainees and apprentices.
- Undertake required training and information gathering to support any updates or changes to regulations.
- Developing positive relationships with your colleagues, our clients and all other site operatives.
- Execute tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with our team to deliver outstanding results on time and within budget.
- Knowledge/understanding of the contract design and construction drawings.
- Identify and implement improvements to any aspect of the service that we provide.
- Regular use of our computer systems and other software packages.
- Adhere to current Health & Safety legislation and undertake works in accordance with safe working practices.
- Be an ambassador for the organisation whilst undertaking works on site.
- Ensure effective communication between the client and the office/supervisor/manager.
- Report any issues or concerns to your manager or supervisor in respect to the project or task you are working on to ensure there are no delays in completion so as not to encounter any contract penalty clauses.
- Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the client’s requirements/specifications and provide exceptional levels of customer care.
- Carry out works to the required standard whilst using sustainable resources and being environmentally conscious.
- Undertake duties in line with role progression and business requirements.

This is a full‑time position and hours of work will be 39 hours per week. This will also involve daily travel and working away as deemed necessary for the needs of the business. 07:45hrs to 16:30hrs Monday to Thursday 07:45hrs to 15:30hrs Friday.
