About the Role
Due to continued growth, BuildStore Mortgage Services is looking to recruit an experienced Mortgage Case Manager to join our specialist mortgage team. Working alongside BuildStore’s Mortgage Advisers and the wider BuildStore team, you will play a key role in supporting customers throughout their mortgage journey.
As part of a collaborative and high‑performing team, you will be responsible for packaging and progressing mortgage applications from Decision in Principle (DIP) through to mortgage offer, ensuring applications are submitted accurately, efficiently and in line with lender requirements. The role involves working closely with Mortgage Advisers, lenders and customers to ensure applications progress smoothly and efficiently through the mortgage process. You will act as a key point of contact throughout the application journey, helping to resolve queries, obtain outstanding information and provide proactive updates to all parties involved.
Success in this role relies on a strong team approach, with everyone working together to deliver excellent customer outcomes, maintain strong lender relationships and support the continued growth and reputation of BuildStore Mortgage Services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing and processing Decisions in Principle (DIP) applications
- Managing and progressing mortgage applications from DIP through to mortgage offer
- Assessing cases and issuing clear requirements to customers and Mortgage Advisers
- Reviewing financial documentation and supporting application documentation
- Reviewing project information, including costings and cashflows where applicable
- Packaging and submitting fully reviewed, quality‑checked mortgage applications to lenders
- Instructing and managing valuations where required
- Managing case progression and maintaining accurate system updates
- Liaising with customers, Mortgage Advisers and lenders by phone and email
- Actively chasing outstanding information to progress applications
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider BuildStore team
- Supporting colleagues and providing cover where required
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Case Manager within a mortgage brokerage, lender or packaging environment
- Experience progressing mortgage applications from DIP through to Offer
- Strong understanding of lender requirements and mortgage documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems
Desirable:
- Experience of processing self‑build, renovation or conversion mortgage applications
- Knowledge of lender criteria and mortgage packaging
- Experience working with specialist or complex mortgage cases
- CeMAP qualified or working towards qualification
Training, Development & Career Progression
