Overview: A growing specialist contractor delivering industrial refurbishment and external envelope projects is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to support a strong pipeline of work across the logistics and warehouse sector. Projects typically range from £200k to £2.5m and involve roofing, cladding, waterproofing, external refurbishment and industrial envelope upgrades on warehouse and distribution facilities. This role would suit an Estimator with experience pricing industrial refurbishment, roofing, cladding or specialist envelope packages who is commercially sharp and comfortable managing tenders from enquiry through to submission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Conduct take-offs and quantify materials, labour and subcontract packages.
  • Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Produce accurate pricing for roofing, cladding, waterproofing and refurbishment works.
  • Attend site visits and tender meetings where required.
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams during bid stages.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities.
  • Maintain strong supply chain relationships.
  • Support handovers to delivery teams following successful tenders.
  • Monitor market rates and pricing trends.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Estimator within construction.
  • Strong understanding of industrial refurbishment projects.
  • Experience pricing roofing, cladding, waterproofing or building envelope packages.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using estimating software and Excel.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
