Are you an experienced Site Manager with a strong background delivering M&E projects? We're working with a leading construction and building services contractor seeking a Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a refurbishment project in St Austell, Cornwall. This is a 50-week fixed-term contract with an immediate start available in mid-August.

This role will suit someone with proven experience managing Mechanical & Electrical packages. You do not need to come from a mechanical or electrical trade background, but you must have experience delivering M&E works on construction projects.

The Role

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the site
  • Coordinate Mechanical & Electrical subcontractors
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
  • Monitor quality throughout the project lifecycle
  • Chair site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors
  • Produce and manage short-term programmes
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation
  • Coordinate labour, materials and plant
  • Manage site documentation and reporting
  • Drive programme delivery through to successful completion

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager on M&E projects
  • Strong knowledge of building services installation
  • Experience managing live construction environments
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid at Work
  • CSCS Card
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors
  • Full UK Driving Licence
