Preconstruction Manager - Central London in South West London

Our client is a leading light in the D&B commercial fit out sector, working with a broad portfolio of clients both nationally and internationally. Due to increase in workload and project pipeline, the company is looking to add to the team. The organisation is looking for an experienced and motivated Pre-Construction Manager to join our growing team, ideally with a background in Design & Build office interior fit-out projects.

In this role, youll lead the pre-construction process from initial client brief through to project handover. Working closely with our Business Development, Design, and Delivery teams, youll manage tenders, shape project scopes, engage with the supply chain, and ensure smooth transition into the build phase. Your leadership will directly influence project success and client satisfaction.

What Youll Do:

• Take full ownership of pre-construction activities across multiple projects
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet tender and design milestones
• Develop scopes of work, budgets, and cost plans (CSA)
• Manage tender submissions, subcontractor enquiries, and supply chain engagement
• Collaborate with external consultants and statutory bodies as needed
• Present bids, lead client meetings, and support negotiations through to appointment
• Ensure all documentation, risk assessments, and processes are accurate and compliant
• Support project transition to construction and assist post-handover when required

What Theyre Looking For:

• Experience in Design & Build fit-out projects, ideally in commercial interiors
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
• A solid understanding of design processes, construction methods, and commercial drivers
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders under tight deadlines
• Attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
