We are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a major retail refurbishment project in Norwich on a 9-month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme, taking full responsibility for health, safety and environmental compliance across site operations while helping to drive a strong and proactive safety culture.
The Role
- Lead all Health & Safety activities across the project
- Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and UK H&S legislation
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety training
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain exceptional safety standards
Requirements
- NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma
- IOSH Membership (Chartered or Graduate preferred)
- Previous experience on retail refurbishment or commercial fit-out projects
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK H&S legislation
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to influence teams and promote a positive safety culture
