We are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a major retail refurbishment project in Norwich on a 9-month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme, taking full responsibility for health, safety and environmental compliance across site operations while helping to drive a strong and proactive safety culture.

The Role

  • Lead all Health & Safety activities across the project
  • Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and UK H&S legislation
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety training
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Work closely with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain exceptional safety standards

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma
  • IOSH Membership (Chartered or Graduate preferred)
  • Previous experience on retail refurbishment or commercial fit-out projects
  • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK H&S legislation
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to influence teams and promote a positive safety culture
