An established main contractor is expanding its commercial teams across two major live logistics projects and is seeking ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyors to support delivery and develop into full project QSs. These roles offer genuine site exposure, working closely with experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers on high-value schemes. This is a strong opportunity for an Assistant QS who wants more responsibility, better project exposure, and a clearer progression route.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the commercial management of large construction projects
- Supporting procurement of subcontract packages
- Preparing and processing subcontractor payments
- Assisting with valuations, variations, and change control
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and record keeping
- Supporting final accounts and commercial close-out
- Attending site meetings and liaising with operational teams
- Assisting in managing subcontractor relationships
- Ensuring commercial procedures and systems are followed
- Developing commercial and contractual knowledge under senior guidance

- Experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor (preferred)
