The successful candidate will take responsibility for the finishing stages of the project, with a strong focus on quality control, snagging, defects management, inspections and ensuring works are completed to the required standard. This is a hands-on site-based position and would suit someone who is comfortable working directly with subcontractors, identifying outstanding works and driving the project through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record, manage and track defects and snagging items using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Ensure subcontractors are completing outstanding works within agreed timescales.
  • Carry out quality inspections across architectural and finishing packages.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure completed works meet project specifications and required standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to resolve defects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate snagging and defects records through ACC.
  • Assist with the close-out and completion of outstanding works.
  • Liaise with the wider project team regarding progress, quality and outstanding items.
  • Identify potential issues before they affect project completion.
  • Ensure areas are ready for inspection, handover and client sign-off.
  • Monitor final finishes including walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, ironmongery, joinery and other internal fit-out elements.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and presentation across completed areas.
  • Support the Site/Project Management team during the final stages of the project.

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Finishing Manager / Finishing Foreman / Site Manager with strong finishing responsibilities.
  • Proven experience working on commercial office fit-out projects.
  • Strong experience with snagging, defects management and quality control.
  • Practical experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Experience managing subcontractors and driving outstanding works to completion.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, commercially aware and quality focused, with strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record delivering the final stages of commercial office fit-outs, rather than purely residential, new-build or general construction projects. Experience using ACC is essential, particularly for recording and closing out defects and snagging items. You should be confident dealing directly with subcontractors, identifying problems on site and ensuring outstanding works are completed to the required standard and within programme.
