The Opportunity
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, developing key client relationships, and supporting the delivery of long-term strategic objectives. You will play a pivotal role in expanding the business's presence across the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), construction, and light industrial markets, leveraging your network, market knowledge, and commercial expertise to secure new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across MOD, MOJ, construction, and light industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, contractors, consultants, and framework providers.
- Lead strategic business development initiatives from opportunity identification through to contract award.
- Monitor market trends, procurement pipelines, and framework opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and tender submissions.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Collaborate closely with operational and senior leadership teams to ensure successful mobilisation and delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a senior business development role within construction, MOD, MOJ, and/or light industrial environments.
- A demonstrable track record of winning and developing business within public sector and industrial markets.
- Strong existing relationships and networks within the relevant sectors.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability.
- Experience navigating procurement frameworks, tender processes, and complex stakeholder environments.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A proactive, results-driven approach with a strong focus on growth and client engagement.
