Job Description Quantity Surveyor Location: Kent Salary: £60k - £70k PA The Company Our client is a reputable main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across the commercial, leisure, industrial and mixed-use sectors. Due to continued growth and a recently secured leisure development, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join the project team and take responsibility for the commercial management of the scheme from procurement through to final account. The Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of a leisure construction project, ensuring financial targets are achieved while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors. The successful candidate will work closely with the site and project delivery teams to maximise project profitability, manage risk and ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Full commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. Preparation and submission of interim applications and valuations. Assessment and agreement of subcontractor applications and variations. Management of project budgets, forecasts and cost reporting. Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities. Producing accurate financial reports for senior management. Assisting with project cashflow forecasting. Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts. Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors. Working collaboratively with operational teams to drive commercial performance. Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline. Previous experience working for a main contractor. Experience delivering leisure, commercial, retail, hospitality or mixed-use projects. Proven experience managing subcontract procurement and accounts. Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management systems.
