A well-established design & build commercial fit-out contractor is looking to appoint a Junior Pre-Construction professional to support the delivery of high-quality workplace and office fit-out projects across London and the South East. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-3 years experience in pre-construction, estimating, bid coordination, design coordination or project support within the commercial interiors / office fit-out sector, looking to step into a more client-facing and commercially involved role.

Working closely with senior pre-construction and delivery teams, you'll play a key role in helping secure and shape projects from initial enquiry through to handover to operations.

The Role

You will support the wider pre-construction team across all early-stage project activity, helping coordinate tender submissions, pricing exercises, technical reviews and design development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Construction Support
  • Assist in managing projects through the pre-construction lifecycle
  • Support tender and bid submission processes
  • Coordinate documentation for competitive tenders and negotiated opportunities
  • Help review employer requirements, specifications and technical documentation
  • Estimating & Commercial Input
    • Assist with take-offs and cost planning exercises
    • Support pricing submissions and subcontractor comparisons
    • Liaise with supply chain partners for quotations
    • Help build accurate cost plans and tender returns
  • Design Coordination
    • Work alongside design managers and technical teams during concept and design development
    • Review drawings and identify design / buildability considerations
    • Support value engineering exercises
    • Help coordinate design information internally and externally
  • Client & Consultant Coordination
    • Attend internal and external meetings
    • Support communication with architects, consultants and end clients
    • Assist with preparing presentation material and project proposals
  • Project Handover
    • Support smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery teams
    • Ensure key commercial and technical information is captured accurately

    Candidate Requirements

    Essential

    • 1-3 years experience within:

  • Experience within:
    • Commercial office fit-out
    • Design & build interiors
    • Workplace refurbishment
    • CAT A / CAT B fit-out
