We are working with a leading engineering contractor specialising in the delivery of high-quality electrical design and build solutions across London's commercial built environment. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their project delivery team, taking ownership of key schemes across central London.
The business delivers a wide range of complex electrical projects including commercial office fit-outs, CAT A & CAT B refurbishments, landlord upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and specialist electrical installations. Projects are typically fast-paced, high-spec, and delivered in live or semi-live environments.
As Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards. You will act as the key interface between clients, consultants, site teams, and subcontractors, driving programme performance and maintaining strong commercial control throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical projects from inception through to handover
- Manage full project lifecycle including planning, procurement, delivery, commissioning, and completion
- Oversee site teams including supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure buildability and technical compliance
- Manage project programmes, budgets, variations, and commercial reporting
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety standards and CDM regulations
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Drive progress meetings, site reporting, and project documentation
- Resolve technical and on-site delivery issues efficiently
- Ensure projects are delivered to specification, programme, and profitability targets
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the building services / M&E sector
- Strong electrical bias with hands-on understanding of installation and delivery
- Experience delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Strong knowledge of CAT A / CAT B projects and landlord electrical works
- Excellent stakeholder and client-facing communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness (budgets, variations, cost control)
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site teams
- SMSTS, ECS/CSCS (preferred)
- Strong understanding of UK electrical standards and regulations
- Based within commutable distance of London / willing to work in central London full-time
