We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing Commercial Team . In this role, you will support across all phases of construction projects, from procurement and subcontractor management to cost control and reporting. Our client partners with major developers, occupiers, retailers, and logistics businesses across the UK. They deliver projects from concept through to completion, specialising in: Industrial & Logistics Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals Data Centres & Ports Retail, Commercial, Hotels, and Schools Projects range from new-builds, fit-outs, expansions, renovations, and reconfigurations. Key Responsibilities As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include: Maintaining accurate site records, including documentation and photos. Liaising with site teams to complete labour allocation sheets. Reviewing and approving Purchase Orders. Preparing subcontract orders and managing subcontractor procurement. Measuring, pricing, and agreeing budgets for variations. Preparing cost projections and updating cost forecasts. Evaluating subcontractor quotes and certifying valuations. Preparing and submitting client valuations to maximise revenue. Supporting monthly forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder updates. Guiding Trainee/Graduate QS staff. About You To be successful in this role, you will need: A Degree, HND, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field. Previous experience in industrial or built environment projects. Familiarity with commercial and surveying systems. Strong technical writing and communication skills.
