What you’ll do

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and other infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, implementing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new IT solutions that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data security and compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning to safeguard company data and ensure business continuity in the event of a failure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve our IT infrastructure and services.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff, assisting them with IT-related issues and promoting best practices in technology use.
  • Conduct regular audits of systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services that meet the company's needs.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient working environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure or Systems Administrator, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, server management, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and system management tasks.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and tools, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice to have

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Experience with ITIL framework and service management practices.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and backup solutions.
