What you'll do
- Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements, ensuring all elements are included in the estimate.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates that reflect the true cost of the project.

Requirements
- A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in estimating software, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey estimates and proposals to clients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision in cost calculations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Queensland.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
