How would you like to be a part of a leading consultancy delivering complex, high-value developments across commercial, residential and hospitality sectors throughout the UK and Europe? Hawthorne Consulting LTD are looking to bring onboard an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
About the Company
Hawthorne Consulting Ltd is a Chartered Surveying Practice regulated by the RICS, providing Quantity Surveying, Project Management and CDM Coordination services across a wide range of sectors in Ireland and the UK. Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments, including large-scale and high-profile projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading pre- and post-contract cost management on a portfolio of projects.
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation.
- Advising on procurement routes and contract strategies.
- Managing tender processes, analysis and recommendations.
- Administering contracts, including valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Providing clear cost reporting and advice at each project stage.
- Contributing to value engineering and risk management workshops.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Undertaking occasional travel to project sites throughout Ireland and the UK.
The Successful Candidate Should Have / Be:
- 10+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership.
- Strong technical understanding of pre- and post-contract QS services.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally across Ireland and the UK.
