They work in a fast paced environment and deliver projects ranging from £20,000 up to £5m! Due to their continued growth in both existing and new markets, they are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their team!
About the company:
Based in West Yorkshire, Deanhouse Group is a leading high end joinery manufacturer and specialist interior fit-out company. They operate across a range of sectors including hospitality, stadiums, modular build, universities and B&I. They operate from a modern 18,000sqft workshop, which benefits from continuous investment in the latest machinery and software to ensure they are at the forefront of manufacturing and project delivery capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce project estimates from enquiries received
- Leading the procurement of materials and trades for secured projects, seeing the project through to financial completion
- To produce detailed quotations, raise purchase orders and manage project budgets
- Approve supplier invoices, whilst ensuring that company margins are maintained, and project timescales met
- Answering post tender queries from clients, along with undertaking value engineering exercises and contract sum negotiations
The successful candidate should have/be:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the UK commercial interior design and fit-out sector (must have)
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations (must have)
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs (must have)
- Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel (project file management, email management etc.) (must have)
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced environment working to tight deadlines (must have)
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills (highly preferable)
- Knowledge of SAGE accounts and AutoCAD software (preferable, but not essential)
