Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are seeking applications for the position of General Manager for our client, a Specialist Clean Room Contractor working on a range of projects in Ireland and the UK.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead the financial, contractual, and commercial delivery of clean room fit‑out projects. This role is critical in ensuring commercial control, cost certainty, and profitability across technically complex, fast‑paced, and high‑value environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of data centre and clean room fit‑out projects.
- Budget control, CVRs, cash flow forecasting, and cost reporting.
- Contract administration, variations, and final accounts.
- Procurement of specialist clean room packages.
- Client valuations and subcontractor payments.
- Commercial risk identification and mitigation.
- Monthly commercial reporting.
- Pre‑contract and tender commercial input where required.
Requirements & Experience
- Degree in Construction, Commercial Management, or similar.
- 5–10+ years’ commercial experience in construction or fit‑out.
- Experience in data centres, clean rooms, life sciences, or mission‑critical projects.
- Strong specialist subcontract knowledge.
- Contract knowledge (NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
