Temp (3 months +)

Due to internal staff changes, we are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Refuge Support Worker based in central Cardiff.

Shift pattern: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, 8am - 8pm

This is a rewarding frontline role supporting women and families in a safe, supportive environment.

The role:

  • You will be working across multiple refuge settings in the Cardiff area as a Refuge Support Worker, supporting residents with day-to-day needs, ensuring their safety, and helping them move towards independence.
  • The service is small, allowing for more focused, person-centred support.

Key details:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (8am–8pm)
  • 1 weekend per month required
  • 3-month contract with potential to extend or go permanent
  • Female applicants only (due to service user needs)
  • Car driver essential
  • Must be adaptable and able to work across different locations
  • Current Enhanced DBS

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (ideally within a refuge or similar setting)
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
