Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor, seeking a new role in the Social Housing sector?
My client has an immediate opportunity to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager, the successful applicant will work on a hybrid basis, providing professional quantity surveying support across repairs, maintenance and investment programmes, ensuring effective cost control, value for money, and financial compliance.
Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the commercial and financial aspects of the repairs, maintenance, and asset investment contact.
Prepare, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and expenditure to ensure effective cost control and value for money.
Assess, validate, and process contractor valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
Review and challenge contractor costs, variations, and claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms and Schedule of Rates (So Rs).
Undertake cost analysis and benchmarking to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
Support the procurement of contractors and consultants, including preparation of tender documentation, pricing analysis, and evaluation.
Assist in the management of contracts from tender through to final account, ensuring financial and contractual compliance.
