About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Housing Sustainment Advisor to deliver a high-quality Intensive Housing Management (IHM) service across Plymouth. This is a community-based role where you will work closely with Housing Officers and support teams to help individuals sustain their tenancies, live independently, and progress toward long-term housing goals. You’ll take a person-centred, strengths-based approach, supporting customers with practical housing advice while addressing underlying challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular home visits to review customer progress and agree support plans
- Support customers to maintain safe, clean, and well-managed accommodation
- Provide guidance on property upkeep and use of household appliances
- Assist with budgeting, income maximisation, and accessing grants/charities
