Are you a Fire Safety Manager, seeking a new permanent job in Devon? Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, the successful applicant will act as the lead competent fire safety professional, supporting the organisation as Responsible Person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and, where applicable, supporting Accountable Person and Principal Accountable Person duties under the Building Safety Act 2022. Responsibilities: Provide timely assurance, advice and escalation to senior management and the Board on fire safety performance, risk, compliance gaps and enforcement matters. Develop, implement and keep under review the fire safety strategy, policy framework, management plans, procedures, standards, KPIs and assurance arrangements. Ensure changes in legislation, guidance and learning from incidents, audits and enforcement activity are translated into operational practice, controls and improvement plans. Commission, review and quality assure suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments, fire door programmes and other fire safety inspections, ensuring actions are prioritised and tracked to completion. Oversee risk-based decision making for communal areas, means of escape, fire precautions, compartmentation, signage, firefighting equipment, evacuation arrangements and other building fire risks.
