We’re looking for a Domestic Violence Support Worker who shares this charity's passion for empowering women to rebuild their lives and live free from fear.
This charity is dedicated to providing support for families and individuals affected by domestic violence, enabling them to live a life free from fear and abuse. As a Support Worker, your role would involve:
- Working closely with these individuals, aiding them to maintain their tenancy.
- Delivering one-to-one support, safety planning, and advocacy.
- Supporting women to access housing, legal, financial, and health services.
- Working in partnership with local agencies and community services.
- Responding calmly and effectively to emergencies, safeguarding concerns, or mental health crises, implementing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting vulnerable women or those affected by domestic violence.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches.
- Understanding the complexities of abuse and being skilled at providing sensitive, empowering support.
